HS Basic Rules

Students are expected to be well behaved and to know what good behavior is.  The teachers are here to teach and guide the students.  They should not have to use a large amount of time discipling students.

Basic rules:

  1. Talking in the hallways should be conversational.  Shouting is not permitted as other classes are in session.
  2. No running through the hallways.  Please keep to the right. (No wall touching, please.)
  3. Food, candy, and beverages should be consumed in the lunchroom only, unless permission is given by your teacher.
  4. Gum chewing is not permitted.
  5. Show respect to all school personnel in word and actions.
  6. Respect your classmates and school property, including your textbooks, desks, walls, restrooms, etc.
  7. Students should maintain Christian standards of honesty, courtesy, morality, and kindness.
  8. Please do not bring CD players, CDs, cassette tapes, cassette players, MP3 players, electronic games, magazines, or comic books unless instructed by your teacher.  School is a place of learning.
  9. Rough play between students can cause injury and has no place in school, on the school grounds, on the busses, or at school related activities.
  10. Disrespect, fighting, swearing, cheating, sarcasm, name calling, and lying are sins against God and are unacceptable.
  11. There is zero tolerance for knives, tobacco, drugs, drug paraphernalia, or guns.  Immediate expulsion and a parental conference will result.
  12. Any threat of physical harm, and witnessed by more than one person will result in immediate suspension and parental conference.
  13. Students are expected to keep a positive attitude about WSCS and their teachers.  God expects our speech to be edifying.  Habitual downgrading of the school could result in expulsion because it will be assumed the student no longer wishes to attend WSCS.  Attendance is not a right, it is a privilege.
