Discipline
Disciplinary actions will be taken against students who disobey the rules, and the parents of those students will pay for any damages caused to the school property due to the disrespect or misconduct of their child.
Our goal for each student is correct behavior. These are the examples of corrective discipline:
- DR (Discipline Report)
- Counseling
- Extra Work
- Writing Assignments
- Probation
- In-School Suspension
- Dismissal from school
- Detention
Whenever necessary for discipline, a DR slip will be sent home to your parents. You and your parents must sign it and return it to the school the following morning. If it is not signed and returned, you will not be permitted to return to class. Parents may call the office first thing in the morning if there is a question.
Cheating:
Anyone who cheats will receive 5 DR’s and a conference with the parents will be held. The second offense will result in a three (3) day in-school suspension and another conference. The third offense will result in a one (1) year expulsion from school. All cheating will result in a zero grade in all work involved.
Stealing:
First offense will be a three (3) day in-school suspension, 5 DRs, and a conference with the parents. The second offense will be expulsion from school for one (1) year. Restitution will be made in all cases of stealing.
Your teacher will make and enforce classroom regulations and will administer discipline when it is necessary.
