Answers to the most frequently asked questions

Transportation: It is the parent’s responsibility to transport their children to school or set up other transportation arrangements. Some of our students are transported to school by the public school system. If you would like your child to ride a public school bus, please contact the transportation director of the school district in which you live.

College Acceptance: Our students receive an advanced academic education. They average 200 points above the national average on their SATs and 90% of our students go on to college. Some have received scholarships to both secular and Christian colleges.

Discipline: WSCS has positive incentives for good behavior. We provide a respectful learning environment conducive to learning success. Our secure learning environment encourages good behavior and most students happily conform to the orderly and calm atmosphere at WSCS. It is usually a disaster in the minds of most elementary students to even get their name on the board for misbehavior. In the extreme, the ultimate discipline is expulsion, which is a very rare occasion at WSCS.

Financial Aid: WSCS works very hard to raise funds with the annual Servathon and Auction to help qualifying parents with tuition aid. There are applications available in the office through March. After April 1, parents who have registered their students must apply online. An independent agency makes financial need determinations based on your tax information.

Foreign Language: Foreign Languages are available on computer

Sports: Boys and girls basketball and soccer – WSCS has had championship Basketball and Soccer teams.

Are your teachers certified? All of our teachers have college educations and our hiring criteria is very stringent. A teacher hired by WSCS not only must have the necessary background check and a “gift of teaching” but must meet all of the spiritual qualifications. Their Christian testimony must be exemplary. Our teachers view their mission to children as their calling in life. They not only minister to their students academically, but spiritually as well.

Testing results: The latest national Stanford Achievement Test results are available. Our students test an average of two grades above grade level, win state academic awards and test 200 points above the national average on SAT’s.
