WSCS Faculty & Staff
Pastor George Grossman is Pastor of Walnut Street Baptist Church, and Administrator & Founder of Walnut Street Christian School.
Mrs. Pat Marr is a classroom aide. She began her ministry at WSCS in 2003. She is fun-loving and excited to see how far she can take her students academically and spiritually.
Mrs. Ashley Wynn is our first grade teacher. She is a graduate of Bible Baptist College and began her ministry at WSCS in 2010. She is sweet, gentle, kind, fun-loving, and creates an enthusiastic learning experience.
Mrs. Brenda Campbell is our third grade teacher. She is a graduate of Cedarville and began her ministry at WSCS in 2010. She has a quiet, gentle spirit, and prepares her students to move from primary grades to intermediate.
Mrs. Sandy Patalive is our fifth grade teacher and our elementary physical education teacher. She began her ministry at WSCS in 2002 and previously taught fourth grade at WSCS. She has a real zest for life and love for her students.
Mr. Tim Longnecker is our high school English teacher, and he is currently serving as the Principal of WSCS. He expects his students to be open to learning, to make an effort to the best of their ability, and to come to class prepared. His greatest desire is to see his students become successful spiritually and academically. He is also Pastor of Ministries for Walnut Street Baptist Church. He began his ministry at WSCS in 1976 and has taught many high school classes.
Mrs. Kaitlyn Bowman is the 9th & 10th grade homeroom teacher and high school math teacher. She has a degree from Lycoming College and she will begin her ministry at WSCS this year. She has a passionate desire to teach math, and she is heavily involved with different course electives.
Dr. Art Gray volunteers in our high school science department by helping to teach science, chemistry, and physics. He is a godly man and is a retired LHU chemistry professor.
Mrs. Nancy Spearing is our Academic Support Teacher. She began her ministry at WSCS in 2000. She provides her students with individualized educational plans. She also has extensive experience working with special needs and special education students. She uses her broad range of experience to help her students improve academically.
Mrs. Jessica Dick is our elementary art teacher. She previously taught first grade at WSCS. She is very artistic and loves to help her students develop their own creativity.
Mrs. Jenny Howell teaches high school drama and directs our high school dinner theater.
Mrs. Brandi Conklin is our school’s Administrative Assistant. She literally keeps everything running smoothly in the school office and is our “go-to gal” for all the needs in the office.
Mr. Thomas Spearing works in the business department for Walnut Street Christian School and for Walnut Street Baptist Church. He answers all the questions about tuition and tuition assistance.
Mrs. Debbie Longnecker works in the Finance Department at Walnut Street Christian School.
Pastor Jeff Howell is the Athletic Director of Walnut Street Christian School.
Mrs. Diane Mantek is the Coach of our girls’ basketball team. She has a heart to not only see the girls succeed in basketball, but to also grow and succeed in their relationship with God
Ms. Bethany Howell is our Pre-school teacher. She is a graduate from Baptist Bible College, which is now Summit University. She does a wonderful job at setting a Biblical and godly example for our young students. She helps the children develop essential life skills and educational knowledge that become the building blocks for their growth. She also teaches a variety of electives, such as the Puppet Ministry.
Mrs. Kathy Gottschall began her ministry at WSCS as a teacher and accepted the position of Principal in 1995. She has been faithfully serving the ministry ever since then. She is now currently using her spiritual gifts to encourage, counsel, and organize various aspects of the ministry.
Mrs. Sheila Aber is the Kindergarten teacher. She began her ministry at WSCS in 1978 but then moved out of state. She returned to us in 1991. Mrs. Aber is adored by her students and their parents. She gives her students a great start scholastically and teaches them to love learning.
Mr. Corey Thomas is our second grade teacher. He began his teaching ministry in second grade in 2000. Last year he taught high school math. He is back in second grade with a great sense of humor, a love for his students, and an exciting, disciplined classroom. He is also an alumni of WSCS.
Mrs. Kim Hile is our fourth grade teacher. She has previously taught 1st, 3rd, and elementary art at WSCS. She is a godly example to her students and she prays for her “sweet peas” and their families.
Mrs. Angelyn Trumbull is our sixth grade teacher. She began her WSCS ministry in 2004 teaching 5th & 6th grades. She is a deeply compassionate lady and wears her heart on her sleeve. She loves her students and they respect her for it.
Mr. Tom Krick is our 7th & 8th grade homeroom teacher. He is teaching math, Bible, and English in our high school and junior high. He is also a graduate of Baptist Bible Collegen, now known as Summit University. Mr. Krick is a great spiritual leader in the classroom, and he brings various gifts and abilities to the ministry, including taking care of some of the maintenance. Mr. Krick is an alumni of WSCS.
Mr. Wayne Brooks is the 11th & 12th grade homeroom teacher. He also teaches history, science, health, landscaping, and physical education for high school students. He is the soccer coach for both the boys’ and girls’ teams. He began his ministry at WSCS in 1998. He expects his students to participate in class. He loves a good discussion and to joke around with his students. His desire is to see his students become godly citizens.
Mr. Jeremy Geisler teaches high school Bible, along with some different class electives. He has a passion to help his students live out their salvation, his Bible class is geared to towards helping students have a deeper relationship with God through the study of His Word. He is a graduate of Baptist Bible College, now known as Summit University, and he is also an alumni of WSCS.
Mrs. Rebecca Paulhamus is our computer teacher. She is our “go-to gal” for our Scrip program along with managing our school minder program which includes our grades and report cards. She has also taught elementary health, some high school electives, and she is a substitute teacher for WSCS.
Mrs. Leverda Hilling is our elementary music teacher. She directs our elementary Christmas and Spring music programs.
Ms. Joanna Waite assists Mrs. Hilling with the elementary music classes and programs by playing the piano.
Mrs. Kimberly Holter is our new Development Director. She handles student enrollment, school tours, Servathon, auction sponsorship, and developmental projects.
Mrs. Sandy Grossman is a teacher’s aide in the Kindergarten class. She is also the secretary for Walnut Street Baptist Church.
Mrs. Madeline Smith works in the Finance Department at Walnut Street Christian School.
Mr. Craige Conklin is the coach of our boys’ basketball team. Craige’s coaching goes beyond the mechanics of basketball. He has a desire to mentor the boys, and help them mature spiritually, while dribbling a basketball.
Jordan Sheddy is the Manager of Another Man’s Treasure Thrift Store.
